Administrative services

The Resources Agency under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter referred to as the Agency) is an institution whose purpose is to serve the institutions responsible for shaping and implementing state policies in the areas of governance assigned to the Minister of the Interior, excluding institutions of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, and to organize other activities specified in the Agency's regulations.

The Agency aims to achieve the following main objectives in its activities:

• Provide the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) and the institutions under the Ministry financed by budget allocations allocated to the Ministry with non-material, long-term (including real estate) and short-term material resources and administer them according to the volume specified in usage agreements.
• Manage data on real estate items managed, used, and disposed of by the Ministry and its institutions under the Ministry.
• Centrally manage the accounting of budget allocations allocated to the institutions under the Ministry financed by allocations from the state budget, funds from European Union structural or other funds, and other available funds, according to the methodological recommendations of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania, and the accounting of assets managed, used, and disposed of by these institutions and the Ministry.
• Implement safety and health measures for civil servants and employees working under employment contracts at the Ministry and safety measures for civilian security at the Ministry and the institutions under the Ministry financed by budget allocations allocated to the Ministry.
• Implement the functions of the central purchasing organization for procurement organizations operating in the areas of governance assigned to the Minister of the Interior.
• Administer state pensions for former officials and soldiers appointed from the internal security system.
• Organize the supply and maintenance of vehicles for the Minister of the Interior, Deputy Ministers, the Chancellor of the Ministry, units of the Ministry's administration, and institutions under the Ministry financed by budget allocations allocated to the Ministry.
• Implement state policy in the field of circulation of firearms, firearm accessories, ammunition, and their parts.
